Tsukuda 3-chome Project
2017
This is a four-story fireproof wooden structure built using the 2x4 construction method. Although the mainstream of fire-resistant wooden structures used to be three stories high, the new fire-resistant specification has been approved, making it possible to realize mid-story buildings. 2×4 construction method is used, but the external walls are made of 2×6, a slightly larger material to improve the performance of the building. Although the structural materials are covered by fireproofing and do not create a wooden atmosphere, we have expressed the warmth of wood by stretching wooden boards on the first floor exterior walls.
